The Typhoon Awards Program recognizes academic institutions and research groups that are the most prominent champions of Typhoon technologies. Typhoon HIL will reward institutions and research groups that promote Typhoon HIL solutions and process in academia, have the largest number of certified students for Typhoon HIL technology, and which produce and share their incredible work with the Typhoon academic community.

  • Access funding from Typhoon for conference visits
  • Receive free hands-on trainings for Typhoon technology
  • Enhance internships programs

Give Educators:

  • Access to Typhoon Virtual HIL software for teaching and non-commercial research purposes
  • Access to teaching assets, labs, power electronics courseware materials, training and other resources at Typhoon HIL Academy
  • Access to online Typhoon academic support services
  • Access to Typhoon HIL’s resource library (webinars, brochures, tutorials)

Give Students:

  • Access to Typhoon Virtual HIL software for non-commercial use
  • Access to labs, trainings and other resources at Typhoon HIL Academy
  • Access to free online certified exams – Typhoon HIL Specialist
  • Globally visible recognition of your skills with Typhoon HIL’s certificates and digital badges
  • Access to Typhoon HIL’s resource library (webinars, brochures, tutorials)

Eligibility

All university institutions and research groups accredited or registered within their country of origin for education and/or research in, but not limited to, electrical engineering, power electronics, and power systems are eligible to submit a nomination for a 10 for 10 Program Award.

Typhoon HIL reserves the right to decline any Award nomination from any academic institution and research partner who is not in good standing with the official Rules for the 10 for 10 competition.


Awards

Typhoon HIL will award institutions/research groups in each geographical market individually (North America, South America, Europe and Africa, India, Rest of Asia and Pacific).

Ten (10) institutions per each geographical market segment (50 in total) that are the first to meet the competition requirements will get a free HIL402 hardware unit, including lifetime Typhoon software license.
