HIL for Power Electronics

HIL for Power Electronics is the second course in the HIL Specialist 2.0 specialization program authored by Typhoon HIL Engineers. This course will teach you how to make the best use of the Typhoon HIL real-time simulator features specifically dedicated to validation of your converter control design.

Become an expert in HIL-tested converter design!

Join us as we discover how to build new converter design models in the Typhoon HIL environment, and how to use your hardware-in-the-loop testing setup to validate the controller and control code you’ll use in the field. We’ll see how to push these models to the limit with advanced features that let us catch controller hardware gate drive pulses in real-time, avoid destructive shoot-through conditions in the controller, and account for power losses and thermal stress. Lastly, we look at some working examples of Electric Vehicle and solar PV applications that can help kickstart your next system-level power electronics project.

For the best course experience, it is highly recommended to take the HIL Fundamentals course prior to this one.

Crucial to understand the powerfull of the HIL paradigm.

Excellent course. Power electronics is, precisely, the area where the concept of Hardware-In-the-Loop can be most essential, and this course treat it in a suitable way.

Great and probably most importat course

This is course gives you the basics for properly simulate power converters and show their limits and losses in real-time. Although as some others learners pointed it should be necessary to give us a more flexible and closer platform or way to help others.

Nice course but there should me communication between all learners

This course is informative to learn circuits fundamentals. A detailed explanation is expected for a better understanding. and there should be a feature for all students to communicate with each other so if anyone fell difficulty it will help a lot..
